Responsibilities

  1. Develop and follow a course syllabus for each class.

  2. Prepare and deliver engaging lesson plans to maintain student enthusiasm.

  3. Utilize resource materials to supplement textbook learning.

  4. Maintain punctuality and high teaching quality in all classes.

  5. Regularly quiz and assess students on knowledge retention.

  6. Assign and grade homework and evaluations consistently.

  7. Maintain accurate student records and submit final grades each semester.

  8. Hold office hours to provide extra help to students.

  9. Participate in and help prepare students for English speech and skit contests.

  10. Communicate and collaborate with fellow instructors teaching the same subject.

  11. Return all teaching materials and grade books at the end of the year.

Salary Structure

Salary Structure

Salaries for foreign teachers are determined based on educational degree level. Compensation is determined by the college contract and is based on a workload of 16 to 18 weeks per semester. Teachers receive five months’ salary per semester and ten months’ salary per academic year.

  1. After completing one semester, teachers are eligible for one-way airfare reimbursement to their home country, up to 5,000 RMB (≈ $700) based on an exchange rate of 7.1:1.

  2. After completing one academic year, teachers are eligible for round-trip airfare reimbursement, up to 10,000 RMB (≈ $1,400).
